Apologies about the late update. Here is what is coming up next term!
Sum 1 - Week 1 - 17.4.17
Here is the topic overview for the first half of the summer term. Listed are details of the topics and subject matter that will be covered over the coming weeks in class. Please research these areas at home. If you have any questions about anything on the overview, please do not hesitate to ask. I am more than happy to go over anything and suggest ways of exploring each subject further at home.
There are also details of the class projects. These are essential pieces of home learning and are both fun and informative. Make sure you put the hand-in date in your diaries now!
Friday 16th December 9.00-9.30am
Thank you to all the parents that attended the previous morning!
Please come in to school again and share a book with your child. We are trying to encourage a love for reading and promote positive attitudes towards reading and learning.
We have began looking at our science topic for this term, 'Animals including humans'. To begin this topic we have looked at the digestive system. We have looked at the organs involved and how they function in the digestive process. Below is a link to a fantastic website which breaks the digestive process down (forgive the pun). It will help you 'digest' the learning in class.
This week we will begin researching the Anglo-Saxon settlers in Britain. There are many great websites which will help with this research. Check out the links below to begin researching at home. These will certainly help with the home projects.
This week we are focusing on learning multiples of 6 and 9. This requires the students to know their 6 and 9 times tables securely. Please practice these times tables, as well as all the other to 12x12. I have attached a link below to a great game called 'Hit the Button' which is fantastic for helping students to develop their times table knowledge. Please have a go and continue to use Mathletics as well.
Welcome to the Year 4 Lime Class page!
Here you will find what we’ll be learning in class in the week ahead, examples of learning that have taken place, links to useful websites and resources for home learning, photos of activities and events and much much more! Be sure to check this webpage every week; you could even set it as your homepage!
PE is every Tuesday and Wednesday. Children will need to have a white or red t-shirt, black shorts and black trainers or plimsolls. No sports teams kits please. Correct PE kit is essential for PE lessons. During the autumn and winter, tracksuit bottoms and a jumper are essential.
Homework will be given out on a Friday and should be handed in the following Wednesday.
Aut 1 - Week 1 - 5.9.16
During the first week back we'll be getting to know one another better and establishing the rules and expectations for the year. We'll be thinking about what we like, what we're good and then thinking about how we can learn and develop further, setting goals for us to achieve in the coming academic year.
