East Acton Primary School "Growing Together"

Reception - Ash

Our first week in reception.

We have really enjoyed our first week at school! The rules and routines have all been explained to the children and they have all adapted really well into school life.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope you have all had a very healthy and happy summer, where has the time gone I don't know! I'm very excited about the year to come and looking forward to the experiences and the learning we are all going to share. As always if you have any queries or need to speak to me please don't hesitate to do so.

Miss Nanavati and Mrs Wall

The Reception Class is part of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

We follow the curriculum as set out by the government covering three Prime areas of learning:Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED), Communication and Language (CL) and Physical Development, and the Specific areas of learning: Literacy (L), Mathematics (M), Understanding the World (UW) and Expressive Arts & Design (EAD). All areas of learning are important at this stage and the planning and activities are based around this.

In Reception we learn through play, creating fun activities in which children learn new skills in an enjoyable environment.
