Reading Morning

Friday 16th December 9.00-9.30am

Thank you to all the parents that attended the previous morning!

Please come in to school again and share a book with your child. We are trying to encourage a love for reading and promote positive attitudes towards reading and learning.

I hope everyone is having a good week!

This week we are looking at multiplying using the grid method in Maths. Please keep practising your 3,4 and 8 times tables! You must be able to recall instantly and at random. By knowing these it will help with the work in the classroom.

In English we are planning and writing our own Adventure Story. Our new topic in Science is Light and in Topic we are looking at the Stone Age.

Have a good week!

Year 3 Holly!

This week is the last week before half term!

Thank you to those children who have bought back their half termly project, these are going to be displayed in the classroom.

For homework over half term there will be spelling and maths as usual and some reading comprehension based on a poem.

When we get back to school in Literacy we will be looking at a text called 'The tunnel' By Anthony Browne. In Maths we will be learning the 3 and 4 times tables.

Over the half term it would be good to practice learning your 3 and 4 times tables!

Please make sure that you bring a coat to school each day as the weather is getting colder.

Have a great week and half term.
